Freshwater Fish Species Identification
As with terrestrial game animals, some fish species are identified as game species. Other species are fished for sport or food even though they are not identified as game fish. Those identified as non-game fish by Texas Parks & Wildlife Department usually have little or no food value and can be fished without limits or season. This lesson identifies and describes both groups of fishes. It also discusses certain protected species. Habitat, fishing devices and equipment, as laws for taking fish are part of this lesson.
